Olin Plumbing

A plumber since age 14

Olin Plumbing's story starts with its owner, Derek Olin. As the company tells it, Derek was the oldest of four boys and mowed lawns as a kid. At 14 he heard that a neighbor needed someone to dig out a crawl space. That neighbor was Pete Costello, who ran a small plumbing and heating business out of his home in Dumfries, Virginia. Pete hired the skinny teenager at $2 an hour, then started teaching him the trade. That is where Derek's career in plumbing began.

Three core principles

Today Olin Plumbing is a family-owned, licensed Florida certified plumbing contractor based in Tampa, with more than 50 years of experience in the trade. The company is built around three principles it calls Honesty, Integrity and Service. In practice that means upfront pricing with no hidden fees, and no bait-and-switch tactics.

Real plumbers, any hour

Olin makes a point of always sending real plumbers rather than service technicians. It offers 24-hour emergency service every day of the year, including holidays, and guarantees its work. The company is also state certified in backflow testing and runs a dedicated backflow department, which matters for commercial properties and homes with irrigation systems.

Serving Tampa Bay

Centrally located in Tampa, Olin Plumbing serves homes and businesses across the greater Tampa Bay area. It is licensed, insured and bonded.
