Ross & Witmer Heating & Air Conditioning
One of Charlotte's first heating and air companies, family-operated for three generations
Founded in the summer of 1945
In the summer of 1945, Charlotte businessman F.H. Ross Sr. and Carrier Corporation engineer C.N. Witmer formed one of the Charlotte area's first heating and air conditioning companies. Their goal was simple: install high-quality products from a leading manufacturer, and install them well.
Three generations of one family
Since the company was acquired by Ralph W. Phillips, Ross & Witmer has been family-operated for three generations. Each generation has kept the same commitment to high-quality, efficient heating, cooling and mechanical service for homes and businesses.
More than 80 years of improvement
Ross & Witmer says it has been dedicated to continuous improvement in quality and customer experience for more than 80 years. Its technicians are trained and licensed, and the company works to keep its quotes fair and affordable.
Serving Charlotte
Today Ross & Witmer serves residential and commercial customers across the Charlotte area, as well as Hendersonville and Asheville, with air conditioning, heating, maintenance and electrical services.
